Happy Birthday to Me!

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! Well, it was actually last Tuesday, but I've been working/having birthday drinks purchased for me, so I haven't really had the time nor the sobriety to post properly. So I'm a little late, give me a break.

The past week has been pretty... um... well, relaxing and fun. Last Sunday, I went to see the worlds greatest DJ play in Sydney, Tiesto. For those of you who aren't really into the Trance/Techno type music, he's Dutch (yes, we all hate the Dutch) but it was, quite possibly, the best concert I've ever been to. He played for about 5 hours for about 10k people in the Hordern Pavillion, basically a big warehouse at Fox Studios. I assume it's just a sound stage or something normally, I don't know. I'll post some pictures up here and Facebook when I get to a computer whose USB ports work properly.

Life in the flat is going well. We're housing an English girl that Francie and I met last year, and who got me the job at Scruffy's. She did some traveling and then had to come back to Sydney (and Scruffy's) because she ran outta money. I was also able to secure a job for my other roommate Catherine so out of the 5 people who are in the flat, 3 of use work at the same place. Luckily, we all work the same hours, so we'll be sick of each other in record time!

My prospects for staying in the country are still looking promising. I was looking online to see what my options were and I may have to go to school to stay here the requisite 4 years. Which would be OK I suppose, since I'm dumb as a bag of wet socks and an edumacation would do me good. What to study though? Perhaps cooking or something. Since I worked at the hotel in a breakfast chef's capacity, I've actually come to realize that I enjoy cooking, and I coul use that to go pretty much anywhere in the world. Chef's are in high demand everywhere. But don't ask me to cook you anything dammit!

Aaaaaaaaand... endscene.

Glad to hear your Birthday was celebrated as you would have wanted. Hopefully you can remember parts of it, both good and bad. As for working and living with the same group, only time will tell if that will work socially. Mind you, you will all know who the drunks are when you exchange stories.
Your plans to stay in Australia seem to be panning out. Hope everything goes well with your application. It was nice to hear your voice again when we talked.
Take care of yourself and keep up the humor on the blog, your escapades make us smile.
Love You and Miss You Much

Thanks! I hope it's nothing that needs to be stopped at the border or perhaps crammed in some unlucky mule's crevasses. I've got enough heat from the Feds as it is.
